According to the current academic session, all universities and colleges used to have 3-year undergraduate programs, but according to the University Grants Commission, UGC, now the upcoming section 17 to 19 central universities are going to start 4-year undergraduate programs in a total of 105 universities operating across the country. 

 

The UCG informed that now the selected central universities for the 4-year course are Delhi University, Aligarh Muslim University, Vishwa Bharati University, Assam University, Tezpur University, Central Jammu University, Sikkim University, National Sanskrit University and Maulana Azad National Urdu University in the country’s capital Delhi. In all these universities, now from the coming academic session, a total of 105 universities across the country including 19 central universities are going to organize 4-year undergraduate programs.

 

In these central universities, Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri National Sanskrit University, English and Foreign Languages University, Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University, Mahatma Gandhi International Hindi University, Rajiv Gandhi University and Central University of Haryana, South Bihar and Central University of Tamil Nadu have also been included in this list. Apart from this, more than 4 Hindu universities are included in other universities, as well as private universities of 18 states and 22 state universities of the country.
