Breaking News: International Day of Persons with Disability Toward Inclusive Growth and Development

International Day of Persons with Disabilities is observed on 3rd December and is very well celebrated globally every year. The purpose of its organization is to identify potential areas of barriers, formulate sensitive policies, advocate for inclusiveness, and campaign for society. It will continue to guide United Nations Development Program policy until 2030, which came into force in January 2016. India has signed it and is committed to a social agenda to reduce inequality in all forms globally. The Sustainable Development Goals focus on global efforts to end poverty and discrimination and promote peace and the good of all.

In the context of sustainable development, 10 aims to work on equity within and between countries. The goal of this development is to promote peaceful and inclusive societies for the 16th century. Provision of access to justice and effective responses at all levels of institutions for development. A problem in a physical function is a difficulty faced by a person in performing an activity-related task while participation is a problem experienced by an individual in engaging in life situations, disability is thus a complex phenomenon that reflects the interplay between characteristics of the individual’s body and characteristics of society.

In addition, the World Health Organization estimates that more than 600 million people worldwide live with a variety of disabilities due to chronic diseases, violence, infectious diseases, malnutrition, and other causes related to poverty. According to the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016 in India Person with a disability means a person with a physical, mental, intellectual or impairment that impairs his or her ability to communicate and participate equally with others in society and means a person with a benchmark disability who has a specified disability that is 40%. The disability referred to herein is not defined in measurable terms and includes a disability where the visual impairment as certified by the Certifying Authority is defined in measurable terms.

The limits under the Act have been widened and include about 21 categories of disabilities specified in the Act: Visually impaired, Low vision, Leprosy cured persons, Hearing loss, Locomotor disability, Dwarfism, Intellectual impairment, Mental illness, Self-centred spectrum development, Cerebral palsy, Muscular dystrophy. Includes multiple speeches on language Thalassemia and Hemophilia Includes many diseases including acid attack disease
