JEE Main 2023 Paper Analysis: The January session of JEE Main, the country’s biggest engineering entrance exam, began on Tuesday, 24 January. The exam is being conducted by the National Testing Agency in Computer Based Test mode. Based on the feedback of the students, it can be said that the first day’s paper was normal.
Kota’s prestigious coaching guru Dr. Brijesh Maheshwari told that students did not face any special problems in any of the three subjects, although some students got a little confused in chemistry. There was no change in the paper pattern either. Dr. Maheshwari told that 20 questions were multiple choice, out of which 2-3 were Assertion-Reasoning (Assertion and Reason). 10 questions were of numerical value. Only five out of 10 questions of numerical value were to be attempted. About 40% of questions from class 11th and about 60% of questions were asked from the class 12th syllabus.
JEE Main 2023: Normal in Physics
According to Dr. Brijesh Maheshwari, the Physics paper was normal in the morning shift. Questions were asked from Mechanics related to Kinematics, and NLM Rotation. Questions were asked about Elasticity Thermodynamics as well as Elasticity and Thermal Expansion. There were no questions from error, fluid, or sound waves. JEE Main Exclusive Topics included questions on Semi Conductors and Communication Systems. One question also remained from the photodiode.
JEE Main 2023: The condition is a bit bad in Chemistry
Whereas, Chemistry paper was tougher than usual. The first part also asked Matching List and Assertion-Reasoning type questions. In Physical Chemistry, there were mixed questions from Gaseous State, Atomic Structure, Chemical Kinetics, Ionic Equilibrium, Electrochemistry, Thermodynamics, and Liquid Solution Surface Chemistry. In Organic Chemistry, there were questions from GOC, Purification Techniques, Halogen Derivatives, Grignard Reagent, Aldol Condensation, Biomolecules, and Chemistry in Everyday Life. In Inorganic Chemistry, questions were asked about Hydrogen Bonding, Magnetic Moment, Metallurgy, Salt Analysis, and S & D Block and Environmental Chemistry.
JEE Main 2023: Maths easy
Dr. Brijesh Maheshwari told that the overall paper was normal, it can be said to be easy as compared to last year. Six to seven questions in Calculus were of moderate level. Four questions were asked from Coordinate Geometry. Four questions were also asked from Vector-3D and one question from Matrix. One question was also asked by the Determinant and a mixed question from Quadratic-Determinant. 35 to 40 percent of questions were asked from Algebra. While 1-1 question was asked from Reasoning and Relation of JEE Main topics.
