Telangana: Socialist and secular words removed from school textbooks

The Telangana State United Teachers’ Federation (TSUTF) has demanded action against the publication of the wrong Preamble to the Constitution in a Class X textbook.

The case of tampering with the basic concept of the Indian Constitution has come to light in Telangana. The words “Socialist” and “Secular” have been removed from the Preamble of the Constitution of India from the books of the Telangana State Board.

Due to which a controversy has arisen where the Telangana State United Teachers Federation (TSUTF) has demanded action against the publication of the wrong Preamble of the Constitution.

Chawal Ravi, General Secretary, Telangana State United Teachers’ Federation (TSUTF) said- “The Class X Social Science book published by the State Council of Education Research and Training Telangana (SCERT) for the year 2022 23 which is available in Telugu and English medium The words socialist and secular have been removed from the Preamble of the Constitution printed on the first page”.

These two words were included in the Preamble under the 42nd Constitutional Amendment 1976. Initially these words were not there in the Preamble of the Constitution.

P.S. UTF says that whether it is done by mistake or intentionally it is a big mistake so we demand that strict action be taken against those who wrongly publish the preamble of the constitution and we want the text books to read the revised preamble With demand to print Pune.ndment, zzz1976.
