UPSC Success Story of Komal Ganatra: A person breaks down on separation from someone. In such a situation, if the matter is after marriage, then perhaps life gets shattered. Something similar happened with Komal Ganatra, whose husband left her after just 15 days of marriage. However, despite such a big setback, Komal did not bow down to the situation and was determined to struggle further in life. He had made up his mind to prepare for UPSC but the path was very difficult for him, difficulties were many but the intentions were very strong. He made the sorrow of marriage break his strength. As a result of this, Komal became an officer after passing the Civil Services Examination of UPSC.

Graduation from different universities in three languages

Tell that in today’s time every child of Gujarat is aware of Komal Ganatra. Komal is originally from the Amreli district of Gujarat. Komal was born in 1982 in Savarkundla, Amreli. He did his schooling in Gujarati medium. She has also topped in Gujarati literature. He has graduated from Open University. Married NRI at the age of 26

When Komal was 26, she was married to Shailesh, an NRI boy. Shailesh lived in New Zealand. Please tell me that the marriage of Shailesh and Komal was in a great discussion. The family and Komal herself had many dreams of settling abroad, but just 15 days after the wedding, all the dreams of Komal and her family were shattered.

It is about the year 2008 when two incidents happened simultaneously in Komal’s life. Komal cleared the Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) main examination in the same year. Apart from this, her marriage to an NRI boy (Shailesh) was also fixed at the same time. However, Shailesh had a condition regarding marriage instead of doing a government job in Gujarat, Komal should stay in New Zealand after marrying him. Komal is in love with Shailesh, due to which she accepts his condition and despite clearing the main examination of the Gujarat Public Service Commission, does not attend the interview and gives up the chance of getting a government job.

After the marriage broke up, the maternal uncle also left.

Within half a month, Komal was completely broken after hearing about the breakdown of marriage and people’s taunts. In such a situation, he decided to stay away from his maternal home. Komal started living in a village about 40 kilometers away from her maternal home. While living here, Komal made this sorrow her strength and once again turned to books and started preparing for UPSC.

However, the village where Komal lived had no internet, no magazine, or an English newspaper. Despite this, Komal continued preparing for the UPSC exam. Along with this, Komal also started teaching in a private school there to earn her living. Even during UPSC preparation, Komal never took a single leave.

Cracked UPSC in 2012 to become IRS

Three failures did not deter Komal and she secured 591st rank in the UPSC exam in 2012 and became an IRS officer. After breaking her first marriage and traveling to become an IRS, Komal Ganatra remarried and is currently a mother of a baby girl.
