Samyak Jain, who is blind, earns the position of AIR-7 on his second attempt at the UPSC.

Samyak Jain, a visually impaired candidate, received an AIR-7 on his second try in the UPSC Result 2022. He discussed his trip in-depth with Republic in an exclusive interview.

Union Public Service Commission announced the UPSC Final Result 2021 on May 30, 2022. UPSC Result 2022 Samyak Jain, the owner of the AIR-7, spoke exclusively with Republic World. Samyak is a Delhi native who attended school in the National Capital. His parents are both employed by Air India. Since his father is stationed in Paris, he resides with his mother.

This was his second attempt, in the first attempt, he could not make it to the main exam. Speaking of the initial attempt, he claimed that it was more like tasting water; he was curious to see how it turned out. He was not prepared for it.

He falls under the PWD category because he is blind. He required a writer to complete my examinations, and his mother was available. He used to read digital books as reading material. He remarked that he is fortunate to have parents and friends who are so encouraging.

Background in Education of Samyak Jain

Samyak earned a BA in English with honors. His next stop was the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, where he pursued a PG Diploma in English Journalism. Samyak later completed his Master’s in International Relations at Jawaharlal Nehru University as a result of his passion in the field. In the UPSC, he chose to study political science and international relations.

Preparation technique

He began preparing during the lockdown (March 2020), when he had plenty of time to study at home owing to the isolation. He thinks consistency is essential for passing the exam. He used to study for at least seven hours a day.
